Sophos Endpoint Security and Control uses a unified single client to protect against viruses, spyware, adware, potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) and hackers, as well as controlling the installation and use of unauthorized applications such as VoIP, IM, P2P and games. It provides single-point cross-platform security and control for desktops, laptops, file servers and mobile devices ranging from Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX computers to NetApp Storage Systems - eliminating the need for separate standalone products. Behavioral Genotype® Protection and rapid signature updates combine to stop new and unknown malware, and an automated management console reduces costs by enabling centralized deployment and updating, and reporting on both anti-virus and firewall protection.

Sophos Enterprise Console automates the policy-based management and enforcement of Sophos Endpoint Security and Control across thousands of Windows, Mac and Linux computers. A single console and automatic email alerts simplify the deployment and updating of anti-virus, client firewall, intrusion prevention and application control, as well as allowing centralized cleanup of malware.


Sophos Anti-Virus for is a key component of Sophos Endpoint Security and Control. It protects Windows networks from malware and hackers, and controls unauthorized applications, with centralized management through Sophos Enterprise Console. A single client detects viruses, spyware, adware, suspicious files, suspicious behavior and controlled applications, such as VoIP and games, and in combination with a client firewall, stops zero-day threats and prevents intrusion by hackers.


Sophos Client Firewall adds an extra layer of security to an organization's desktops, laptops and servers. Centrally managed alongside Sophos Anti-Virus as part of Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, it protects against known and unknown threats by locking down vulnerable computers, blocking worms, preventing intrusion by hackers and unauthorized applications, and monitoring application behavior.

Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp Storage Systems
Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp Storage Systems is a component of Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, providing on-access scanning of files held on a Network Appliance filer. The Sophos virus detection engine scans all files as they are written to or read from the storage device. All viruses and other malware types are detected, and Sophos Anti-Virus is automatically updated with the latest anti-virus files created in SophosLabsT.

Sophos Mobile Security
Sophos Mobile Security is part of Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, detecting and disinfecting mobile viruses and spyware on Windows Mobile 5 devices. On-access, on-demand or scheduled scanning blocks and quarantines malware, while visual and email alerts provide notification of blocked threats. Company-wide security policies for mobile devices can also be created and locked down using a straightforward configuration tool.
